South Beach Miami weekend getaway

A collation of all my recommendations for exploring this sunny, fun loving, very extra, place of all places to be seen 👀 Here are my favourite spots in South Beach Miami to spend your weekend ⛱️

🏨 @esmehotel beautifully appointed rooms (on the small side) but a stylish hotel right in the centre of South Beach. A rooftop pool that is tucked away and a nice bar on the rooftop or on ground level for day or late night. You also get access to complimentary beach chairs and towels etc when you wander the 3 mins to the beach.

🍴 @byblosmiami this Mediterranean restaurant has stunning decor inside and out, and the food is fresh and delicious. The lounge inside is very luxe.

🍴🍸@1hotel.southbeach rooftop cocktails are beautiful. The sushi looked great too! You don't need a booking to sit at the bar.

🍴@drexelmiami for amazing chocolate souffle to share! The dinner menu also looked fantastic.

🍴🍸@tropezonmiami for excellent gin cocktails and Spanish tapas. A nice bar vibe too if you just want to pop in for a pre or post dinner drink.

🍴@cafefrancais for a quaint french cafe serving coffee and wine, pastries and crepes. The best Almond Croissants 🥐

I have no nightclub recommendations cos that's not really my thing... But @clevelandersobe was a fun place for day drinks and pool antics 🍹

Other activities:

• Run/walk along the SoBe promenade. Market stalls line parts of it, but it's a great walking path and a nice view point at the pier at the South Pointe tip.

• Relax at the beach. What's not to love!?

Recommendations we had but weren't able to try: ( next time!)

• @versacegiannis in the old Versace Mansion. Bookings recommended, and their lunch special is very well priced. Based on reviews though, midweek might skip a lot of the picture taking crowd...
  

• @nikkibeachmiami beach club for brunch or lunch. Bookings essential.
  

• @olamiami_ for South American cuisine - not open Sundays
  

• @thesetaimiamibeach dinner at Jaya or the Ocean Grill for a nice meal out.
  

• @thesavoyhotelmiamibeach looked fabulous and next time we might choose to stay there for direct access to the beach and pool area without the need to pay to go elsewhere.
